Giorgos Varemenos is a Greek journalist and politician, born on January 2, 1953, in Agrinio. He was a member of the SYRIZA political party, serving as a parliamentary representative from Aetolia-Acarnania from May 2012 until May 2023. With a 30-year career in journalism, he has contributed to both print and television media. In December 2023, he left SYRIZA, criticizing the new party leader Stefanos Kasselakis, and subsequently joined the New Left.
