Graham Armitage (1936-1999) was an English actor known for his work in stage, film, and television. Born in Blackpool, Lancashire, he lived in South Africa where he became a popular TV and stage figure. He graduated from RADA in 1952 and made his TV debut in BBC's 'Without The Prince'. Armitage had notable roles in 'The Saint' and 'The Avengers' and voiced Sherlock Holmes on Springbok Radio from 1979-1985. His last appearance was in the 1999 film 'Alec to the Rescue'. He passed away in Johannesburg and was buried in Manchester, UK.
