Gratien Ananda, also known as Bajjala Walawwe Gretien Ananda Abeykoon, was a prominent Sri Lankan singer, composer, songwriter, and lyricist born on March 15, 1957. He is celebrated as one of the best Sinhalese film score musicians in Sri Lanka's history, with a remarkable career spanning nearly three decades, during which he composed music for over 400 films. He passed away on December 29, 2010, at the age of 53 while undergoing treatment at the National Hospital of Sri Lanka in Colombo.
