Grete Peery, born Margarethe Pisker on February 24, 1931, in Vienna, is an Austrian-Israeli painter. Following the Jewish persecution during World War II, she survived with her mother using forged identity cards. After attending a fashion drawing school in Prague from 1947, she returned to Vienna in 1949 and emigrated to Israel in 1951. Peery worked as a ceramic painter and draftsman until 1964 and has since held various exhibitions, especially from 1975 onward. She was also an active member of the Zionist organization Gordonia.
