Griselda Blanco Restrepo (February 15, 1943 - September 3, 2012), known as La Madrina, the Black Widow, and the Cocaine Godmother, was a Colombian drug lord associated with the Medellín Cartel. She was a pioneer in the cocaine trade in Miami and criminal organizations during the 1970s and early 1980s. It is rumored she introduced the infamous drug dealer Pablo Escobar to the cocaine trade. Estimates suggest she was responsible for up to 200 murders while trafficking cocaine from Colombia to New York, Miami, and Southern California.
