Gumersindo Andrés López was a Spanish costume designer born in Cartagena on March 26, 1938. He began his career in the banking sector but switched to film in 1958, working as an assistant to the art director Pierre Schild. López designed costumes for numerous films and TV series, collaborating with prominent directors like José Luis Garci and Eloy de la Iglesia. Throughout his career, he received four Goya nominations for Best Costume Design, although he did not win any awards. He passed away in Madrid on March 29, 2019.
