Hasu Yajnik, born on 12 February 1938 in Rajkot, was a prominent Indian novelist and writer in the Gujarati language. He contributed significantly to literature as a novelist, short story writer, and folklorist, and served as a professor of Gujarati. Over his career, he authored twenty novels, three short story collections, and worked on children's literature. Notable for his contributions to the literary critique of medieval works, Yajnik's impact on Gujarati literature lasted until his passing on 10 December 2020.
