Heather Neff, born in January 1957, is an American writer and university professor known for her contributions to literature, specifically in the field of African Diaspora studies. She graduated from the University of Michigan and later earned a Doctorate in English Literature from the University of Zurich. Neff has authored eight novels, published short stories and poetry, and founded a creative writing collective. Currently, she teaches at Eastern Michigan University and directs the McNair Scholars Program, promoting academic success among underrepresented students.
