Henry Van Thio is a Myanmar politician who serves as the elected Vice President of Myanmar. Born on August 9, 1958, he is a member of the Chin ethnic group and represents them in the House of Nationalities, the upper house of Myanmar's parliament. Nominated by the National League for Democracy party, he was elected as the Second Vice President on March 16, 2016. He studied at the universities of Mandalay and Rangoon and is a Christian. He is married and has three children.
