Herman H. Fussler (1914–1997) was an influential American librarian known for pioneering the use of microphotography in libraries. He served as the director of the University of Chicago libraries for over two decades and was involved in establishing the Regenstein Library. Fussler also held the position of Dean at the University of Chicago Graduate Library School. Recognized as one of the top leaders of the 20th century by American Libraries, he was a fellow of notable scientific and arts organizations, contributing significantly to library research and administration.
