Spending his formative years in Hiroshima, he created comic works reflecting themes of war and peace, such as 'Akai Tomato' in 1971. Asuna gained prominence with 'Aoi Sora o, Shiroi Kumo ga Kaketetta' in 1976, contributing to the golden era of 'Shonen Champion.' Despite his success, he struggled with personal issues and decreased his output later in life. He passed away on March 22, 2001.
