Hōdō Hanada (June 16, 1918 - August 21, 2007) was a prominent Japanese calligrapher known for his mastery of the clerical script. His real name was Masato Hanada, and he gained international recognition with exhibitions in countries like the USA, Italy, and Brazil. His works were even acquired by the Swiss Federal Art Museum. Hanada received several prestigious awards, including the Minister of Education Award in 1950 and the Osaka Cultural Award in 1976. He served as an advisor at the Japan Calligraphy Art Institute and as a professor at Kobe Shoin Women's University.
