Homero Acosta (February 20, 1901 - 1992) was a Mexican poet, lawyer, and politician. He held various political positions and served as rector of the Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí. His poetic works, mainly addressing themes of beauty, love, and solitude, are compiled in five published books and an anthology released in 1988. Acosta began writing poetry during his studies and published in various magazines. His notable works include 'La canción olvidada' (1947) and 'Canto a la tierra' (1958). He passed away in Mexico City in 1992.
