Inger Austveg (born May 12, 1915 - died July 30, 1999) was a Norwegian author known for her works for children, youth, and adults, many of which have been translated into other languages. She debuted as a children's author in 1950 with 'Risle-Rasle', followed by several other children's books. Austveg, educated as a nurse, often incorporated her own experiences into her writing, including novels for adults such as 'Dr. Isabel' and 'Isabels landsby'. Her final book addressed leprosy as a devastating issue.
