Ione Dorronsoro Ceberio is a Basque activist born in 1939 in Ataun, Guipúscoa. She is the sister of Unai Dorronsoro and the wife of Javier Izko de la Iglesia. Ione studied music and was involved with ETA, like her brother and husband. In 1969, she was arrested and sentenced to 50 years in prison during the Burgos Trial. While imprisoned in Alcalá de Henares, she went on multiple hunger strikes and was twice hospitalized in a psychiatric facility. In 1977, she was amnestied and exiled to Norway with her husband and brother, later joining the Euskadiko Mugimendu Komunista (EMK).
