Iordan Gheorghe Bărbulescu is a Romanian university professor and diplomat born on January 20, 1952. He serves as the dean of international relations and European studies at the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration in Bucharest, where he is also the senate president. Bărbulescu is the president of the Romanian Association for International Relations and European Studies, with a doctorate from the University of the Basque Country. His expertise includes the pre-accession of Eastern European countries to the EU and he was a Romanian diplomat from 1997 to 2003.
