Isaac Folorunso Adewole is a Nigerian professor in obstetrics and gynecology, born on May 5, 1954. He served as Nigeria's Minister of Health from November 2015 to May 2019 under President Muhammadu Buhari. Formerly, he was the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, where he also held the position of Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, the oldest medical school in Nigeria. His research focuses on human papillomavirus, HIV, and gynecologic oncology, particularly cancers affecting the female reproductive system.
