Isol, born Marisol Misenta in 1972 in Buenos Aires, is an Argentine artist and writer known for her work in children's literature. She published her first book, 'Dog Life', under the pseudonym Isol in 1997. From 2000 to 2005, she illustrated stories and retold well-known fairy tales for the Sunday supplement of the newspaper 'Clarín'. Her sincere and ironic style gained her fame in Argentina and internationally, with her works published in countries such as Mexico, Spain, the USA, France, South Korea, and Switzerland. In 2013, she received the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award.
