Jacob Elbert (Jaap) van Boeijen (1931-1995) was a Dutch politician affiliated with the CHU and later the CDA. He was the son of Hendrik van Boeijen, a notable politician. Jaap commenced his civil service career in Soest, progressing to positions in Rijswijk. He became the mayor of Tholen in 1964 and later Harderwijk in 1978. He retired in 1992 after 42 years in public service and moved to Middelburg, where he lived until his death at age 63.
