Hoye has officiated in notable events like two All-Star Games and two World Series. He was the first base umpire for Mark Buehrle's no-hitter and the plate umpire for James Paxton’s no-hitter. Hoye lives in Florida with his wife and three children, and has been involved in charity events through UMPS CARE.
