Jamie Hodgson was a British photographer known for his portraits of jazz icons in the 1950s and 1960s. Initially a wedding photographer in Kensington and Chelsea, he gained fame photographing legends such as Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, and Dizzy Gillespie. After serving in the military, he began his career in photography and opened his own studio in Kingsbridge in 1956, photographing notable models and film stars. His work was recognized posthumously in an exhibition at the National Theatre shortly before his death from cancer in 2006.
