Jamil el Banna, born on May 28, 1952, is a Jordanian of Palestinian descent who was born in Jericho, West Bank. He is a refugee residing in the United Kingdom, specifically in Northwest London. He claims to have been abducted by the CIA in November 2002 while on a business trip in Gambia, subsequently detained and interrogated by the CIA until March 2003. He was then transferred to Guantanamo Bay detention camp and held there until December 19, 2007, after which he was arrested upon returning to the UK and released on bail.
