Lieutenant General Djamin Ginting (1921–1974) was an Indonesian military officer and independence fighter from Tanah Karo. He fought during the Indonesian Revolution, commanding battalions and engaging in guerrilla warfare against Dutch forces. After the war, he became a deputy commander and later an ambassador to Canada. Ginting was recognized as a National Hero of Indonesia in 2014. He passed away on October 23, 1974, due to high blood pressure.
