He started working for United Press International at a young age and covered significant historical events worldwide, including WWII resistance movements, the Six-Day War, and student protests in Warsaw. Borg established Norwegian Telenews and was integral in local TV in Norway. He later founded his production company, Borgfilm AS, creating over 50 documentaries. Throughout his career, he remained actively involved in humanitarian work and was a key figure in early fundraising TV campaigns.
