Johannes (Jan) Antonius Geerdinck was a Dutch clergyman and priest of the Roman Catholic Church, born on April 8, 1902, in Groenlo and died on May 16, 1977, in Utrecht. He was educated at seminaries in Culemborg and Rijsenburg and earned degrees in both laws at the Lateran University. Geerdinck was ordained in 1926, later serving as chaplain and secretary to archbishops of Utrecht, eventually becoming Vicar General. He faced challenges in modernizing semi-novices during his later role as president at the grand seminary, which led to tensions and his resignation in 1962.
