Jan Szczawiej (1906-1983) was a Polish poet and editor known for his work in anthologies and literary compilations. He began his literary career in 1927 with his debut in "Gazeta Polska". During WWII, he was involved in the underground organization Stronnictwo Ludowe "Roch", where he edited clandestine press publications. After the war, he served as the editor-in-chief of the biweekly "Warszawa" and later contributed to ZSL press. He is buried in the Military Powązki Cemetery in Warsaw.
