János Vezda (1948 – April 13, 2007) was a Hungarian journalist, humorist, and police colonel, known for his role as the editor-in-chief of Börtön Újság. He began his career at Népsport and worked as a programmer before joining the Ministry of Interior. Vezda significantly contributed to crime journalism through Magyar Rendőr for three decades and published humorous writings in various publications. He also worked with Zsaru magazine and served at the National Police Headquarters before retiring as a police lieutenant colonel. Under his leadership, Börtön Újság flourished, and he became a prominent figure in Hungarian humor.
