Jaroslav Kofroň (February 5, 1921 – July 22, 1966) was a Czech horn player, composer, choir director, conductor, educator, and folk song collector. He studied at the Prague Conservatory, where he specialized in horn playing, music theory, and choral singing. Kofroň composed numerous works for the horn and arranged traditional folk songs. He was active as a conductor for various choirs and orchestras and collected over 300 folk songs from central Slovakia. His tragic death occurred in Bulgaria in 1966.
