Jaroslav Očenášek (10 February 1901, Němčice nad Hanou – 19 July 1968, Zlín) was a Czech composer renowned for his contributions to church music and folk operas. He studied at the Brno Conservatory and was a talented pupil of Leoš Janáček. Očenášek was also a music teacher and choir conductor, actively engaging in local folklore studies. He founded a regional museum and composed works, including the significant Czech Mass and several folk operas. His innovations in harmonica technology and cultural contributions were notable, including a portrayal in the film 'All Good Roots' (1969).
