Jimmy Ekho, also known as Jamie Tiglik, was an Inuit artist born on April 26, 1960, in Iqaluit, Canada. He gained recognition for performing as Arctic Elvis, singing in Inuktitut and dressing in a seal skin suit. His performances often did not feature traditional Elvis Presley songs. Ekho recorded a limited edition CD and participated in music festivals, including Folk on the Rocks in Yellowknife. He later worked at the Nunatta Sunakkutanngit Museum in Iqaluit before passing away from lung failure on June 10, 2008.
