John Francis Green (1946–1975) was a prominent member of the North Armagh Brigade of the Provisional Irish Republican Army during a tumultuous period in Irish history. He was killed in a farmhouse near Castleblayney, County Monaghan, by the Mid-Ulster Brigade of the UVF, with allegations involving Special Reconnaissance Unit officer Robert Nairac. His killing is one of 87 attributed to the Glenanne gang, which included various loyalist paramilitaries and police. Notably, no legal action was taken against those responsible for his death.
