John C. Rayson, born on March 29, 1949, in Oak Park, Illinois, is an attorney in Broward County, Florida. He served as the mayor of Pompano Beach from 2004 to 2007 and was a member of the Florida House of Representatives from 1990 to 2000. After an unsuccessful bid for a circuit judgeship, he became Davie's town attorney in 2007. Rayson holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Rochester and a law degree from Case Western Reserve University. He is a member of the Florida bar and is affiliated with the Democratic Party.
