Jorge Aníbal Flores Ochoa was a Peruvian anthropologist and university professor, born on January 15, 1935, in Cusco, and passed away on August 20, 2020, in the same city. He served as a professor and rector at the Universidad Nacional San Antonio Abad del Cusco (UNSAAC), and was also the director of the National Institute of Culture's Cusco branch. His ethnographic work on highland pastoralists in Paratía, published in 1968, was pivotal in Andean pastoral community studies. Additionally, he taught at various universities around the world and participated in numerous academic events.
