Jorge Luiz Zelada is a Brazilian engineer who served as the international director of Petrobras from 2008 to 2012. He succeeded Nestor Cerveró. Zelada was arrested on July 2, 2015, during the 15th phase of Operation Lava Jato, known as Operation Monaco, due to his involvement in a significant corruption scheme named Petrolão. He was the fourth Petrobras director arrested during this operation. In August 2015, he was indicted and later sentenced to four years for bid rigging and 12 years for passive corruption and money laundering in early 2016.
