Jørgen Simonsen is a Danish former officer born on February 22, 1938, in Aarhus. He graduated from Randers Statsskole in 1956 and joined the Army the following year. He retired in 1991 with the rank of colonel, having served as head of the Army Artillery School. Simonsen was also chief of the Combat Support Branch at the Central Europe Joint Forces Headquarters. After retiring, he became chairman of Polyfa Consultants. He has received multiple awards, including the Dannebrogordenen and various service medals.
