Jørgen Thorgaard (March 12, 1939 – October 29, 1992) was a Danish author, theologian, and TV host, recognized for programs like 'Eksistens' and 'Bøger'. He earned his theology degree and served as an assistant professor at the University of Copenhagen, later becoming a parish priest in Osted Sogn. Thorgaard joined Danmarks Radio in 1969, balancing his broadcasting career with pastoral duties until 1979. He was also a noted speaker and columnist. Thorgaard tragically died by suicide in 1992 and is buried in Osted Cemetery.
