He studied at the Sibelius Academy under Mikko Pasanen and Matti Lehtinen and furthered his education in Italy and Germany. Elorinne made his concert debut in 1981 and graduated as a singing pedagogue and opera singer in 1982. He has performed in various roles at the Finnish National Opera and the Savonlinna Opera Festival since 1981, being particularly recognized for his interpretations of spiritual songs.
