Joseph Arkin (May 25, 1923 – August 5, 2002) was a prominent mathematician and professor at the United States Military Academy, known for his work in number theory. He spent much of his career at West Point, retiring in 1994, and was also a visiting lecturer at institutions including Princeton. Over his career, he collaborated with notable mathematicians and published extensively in various mathematical journals. Arkin was a member of the American Mathematical Society and the Fibonacci Association, contributing to the field with numerous academic publications.
