Joseph "Mad Dog" Taborsky was an American serial killer born on March 23, 1924, in Hartford, Connecticut. He was convicted of murder during a robbery in 1950 and sentenced to death, but was released in 1955 due to reasonable doubt. Between late 1956 and early 1957, he committed several armed robberies and six more murders within ten weeks, leading to his second death sentence. He was executed in the electric chair in 1960. His criminal activities were infamously termed the 'Mad Dog Killings'.
