Julius Oengo, born on March 16, 1901, in Estonia, was a prominent children's author and educator during the interwar period. He wrote under the pseudonym J. Oro and was the editor of the children's magazine 'Laste Rõõm.' Oengo authored numerous children's stories and over 400 poems, many of which remain popular in Estonia today. He was arrested during the Soviet occupation and is believed to have been murdered shortly after. His contributions to children's literature have left a lasting impact on Estonian culture.
