Karapet Karamyan (1911-1980) was an Armenian historian and a scholarly figure in the study of Armenian history. He earned his doctorate in historical sciences in 1976 and became a professor in 1977. Born in Nakhichevan, he studied at the Soviet Union's Military Transportation Academy and worked at various educational institutions, including the Armenian Pedagogical Institute. Karamyan contributed to understanding Armenian history, especially regarding the Armenian Genocide and the struggles of Armenians under Turkish rule, through his significant works published during his lifetime.
