Karl Thurman Davis, Sr. (1908–1977) was an American professional wrestler, known for his ring names Crippler Karl and Killer Karl Davis. Active in the 1930s and '40s, he was notorious as a 'heel performer.' He gained fame after injuring Whipper Billy Watson, earning him the 'Crippler' title. Davis won multiple championships, including the Texas Heavyweight and Southern Heavyweight titles. He wrestled extensively for numerous promotions and formed successful tag teams, including with Wee Willie Davis. After retiring, he transitioned into acting, often cast as a henchman during the 1950s.
