Karol Kot was a Polish serial killer who terrorized Kraków between 1964 and 1966. Known as the 'Vampire of Kraków' due to his methods and seemingly random selection of victims, which included both children and the elderly, he gained notoriety during his trial. Kot confessed to all charges against him and was initially sentenced to death on July 14, 1967. His sentence was briefly commuted to life imprisonment, but was ultimately restored to death. He was executed by hanging on May 16, 1968.
