Cornelis Eduardus 'Kees' Schelfhout was a Dutch politician born on February 25, 1918, in Sint Jansteen, Zeeland. He was a member of the Katholieke Volkspartij (KVP) and served as the State Secretary in the Ministry of Education and Science from 1971 to 1973 in the Biesheuvel cabinet. Schelfhout's political career contributed to the development of education policies in the Netherlands during his tenure. He passed away on March 3, 1983, in The Hague.
