Keneth Alden Simons was a prominent American electrical engineer known for his significant contributions to the development of cable television technology in the U.S. As chief engineer at Jerrold Electronics Corporation, he designed key equipment including one of the first converters, the Model 704 Field Strength Meter, and the Model 900 Sweep Frequency Generator. He authored an important technical handbook and participated in national and international engineering standards committees. Simons was regarded as the leading technical expert at Jerrold for over twenty years.
