He was the mayor of Nasu Shiobara in Tochigi Prefecture for one term, the 94th Chair of the Tochigi Prefectural Assembly, and a member of the Tochigi Prefectural Assembly for six terms. Additionally, he served as a council member in the Kuroiso City Council for two terms, reflecting his significant involvement in local governance.
