Kenshi Chūma was a Japanese naval officer born on February 28, 1917. He served in the Imperial Japanese Navy during World War II and was known for his role as the captain of a Special Attack Submarine during the Sydney Harbour raid. Chūma died in action on May 31, 1942, and was posthumously promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Commander. He held the court rank of Shōroku-i.
