He is recognized for his role as the former lead guitarist in the rock bands Escape the Fate and LoveHateHero, contributing to two albums with LoveHateHero and three with Escape the Fate from 2013 to 2021. As a music producer and engineer, Gruft has collaborated with prominent artists, including Machine Gun Kelly, Gwen Stefani, Avril Lavigne, and Blink-182.
