Khalid bin Faisal Al Saud is the Governor of Mecca and an advisor to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. Born on February 20, 1940, he is the son of King Faisal and Princess Haya. He played a significant role in youth welfare and established the Gulf Cup of Nations. Appointed Governor of Asir in 1971, he later became Governor of Mecca in 2007. He also served as Minister of Education until 2015. Khalid is a member of the Saudi Succession Council representing his father.
