Khosrow Shahani was an Iranian journalist and writer known for his realistic satirical style. Born in Neyshabur on December 31, 1929, he left school following his father's death and began his journalism career in 1955 with the newspaper Khorasan in Mashhad. He later worked for the magazine Khwandaniha and served as a parliamentary correspondent for Kayhan, while also being a radio broadcaster. After the 1979 Iranian Revolution, he retired and became known for his critiques of society through satirical literature. He died in Tehran on May 10, 2002, from cancer.
